Champlain Valley Weather Discussion:

OVERVIEW
An intense low pressure system east of Maine will continue to retrograde and move west through Northern Maine, and into Quebec today. This will result in significant upslope snow today into early tomorrow morning.

SNOWFALL
Snow is currently falling across the region already, not directly associated with this system, however moisture from the system across eastern Maine will push into the region today, with snowfall rates increasing later this afternoon, and evening. Snow will fall moderately much of the day, with snow occasionally heavy at times, especially in the Warning area. The heaviest snowfall will be late this afternoon, into this evening. Snow will lighten up and tapper off to light snow showers/ flurries by Tuesday morning. Total snow accumulations by Tuesday morning will range from 8-12 inches along the Western slopes of the Green mountains, and Northern Adirondack mountains to 4-8 inches in the Northern Champlain Valley, and the Western slopes in Addison County, and across portions of Washington, and Orleans Counties. Stay tunned for further updates.
