Significant New Years Snowstorm?

Champlain Valley Weather Discussion:
At this time, conditions are being monitored for the potential of a significant snowstorm on New Years Day. What was strong confidence in this storm hitting our region earlier today, has melted to all but being confident now. Models which have been in fairly good agreement, have now gone completely opposite of one another. There still is some slight consistency though, that being with the models trending further east with the system. But the exact track is still greatly unknown. If models had remained consistent, then I was planning on issuing a Winter Storm Watch tonight, but things are in question now. Eitherway, stay tuned for further updates, on this potentially significant winter weather event. Sorry for not having any good details at this time.
