Champlain Valley Weather Discussion:

OVERVIEW
Low pressure over the Canadian Maritimes is expected to retrograde west and into Quebec, bringing more accumulating snows to the region.

SNOWFALL
I feel like a broken record, but yet again more accumulating snow is expected for the region, especially the Vermont side of the Champlain Valley into the Western slopes of the Green mountains. Looking at hi-res models which have had a fairly decent handle on these events, they paint a widespread 4-8 inches of snow, while the GFS model also has 4-8 inches while the NAM model shows the most with 5-10 inches. Most of the time models over estimate precipitation amount, especially the hi-res models such as the ARW and NMM, and even the NAM for that matter. But the snow will have a high snow ratio, maybe as high as 30:1, so this will likely put down a solid 3-6 inches of snow across our area by early Thursday morning. Stay tuned to Champlain Valley Weather for further updates.
