Champlain Valley Weather Discussion:
OVERVIEW
Low pressure west of the region is pressing up against High pressure off the Atlantic Coast which is resulting in a strong pressure gradient. Winds from the south are channeling through the Champlain Valley resulting in strong winds.
WIND
Today you can expect strong south winds of 15-30MPH with gusts as high as 50MPH especially the closer to Lake Champlain you get. South or North winds are often strongest in the Champlain Valley as the winds are Channeled through the valley. The pressure gradient should ease some later this evening.
