The National Weather Service, Storm Prediction Center out of Norman, OK has issued another Severe Thunderstorm watch for the remainder of Vermont, as well as all of New Hampshire, portions of Maine, and Portions of Massachusetts. In a Mesoscale discussion they issued prior to the watch, they stated that isolated tornadoes were also possible. This discussion can be found HERE

CHAMPLAIN VALLEY WEATHER DISCUSSION (Updated):
Currently across the region numerous heavy showers, and thunderstorms continue. Some storms have been severe with damaging winds, and large hail. The Storm Prediction Center out of Norman, OK has issued another watch, so now everyone is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. Isolated Tornadoes are still possible. Infact there was some discussion on the possibility of a Tornado watch being issued, but that did not happen. You can find that discussion HERE.

Looking at radar, storms continue across much of the region. Additional storms are developing over Central, and Northern New York and will continue to move east. Once the sun sets, storms should start to diminish in intensity. Until then there is still the potential for severe storms, and an isolated tornado or two. The most likely area for any isolated small tornado would be across Central and Southern Vermont. Temperatures and a more stable atmosphere exists across Northern New York and Vermont, enough so, to preclude any Tornado threat. Stay tuned for further updates.
